(Brewery without a name)

“Brauhaus ohne Namen” (“brewery without a name”) is a traditional Cologne brewery. It is located on the right side of the  Rhine, called the “schael sick“, the Rhine’s “blind side”. (If you are interested in the history of this name, we will love to tell you).

In Cologne Brauhäusern, most guests drink the Cologne beer – the “Kölsch”. Kölsch is not only the name of the Cologne beer, but it is also the name of the Cologne dialect. The food is traditionally German with some Cologne specialities such as “Rievkooche” or “Halve Hahn” – both terms that people from outside Cologne will not understand. However, we hope that you will become an expert on Cologne (the university, the city, the language and the beer). You will find these things (and more) at a buffet with dishes for those who love meat and those who do not. You will definitely have a nice and funny evening and learn a lot about the typical Cologne waiters – the so-called “Köbesse”.
