Scientific Committee

The Scientific Committee of the Summit (SCC) comprises all ELN Founding members not seated in other Summit committees. The SCC is charged with selecting the communication proposals and thus helps to establish the Summit program. From the III Summit onwards, the SCC will be the ELN Council (aka ELN General Council). As per ELN published statutes, the ELN Council is an optional body of the ELN comprising the ELN Honorary members plus the ELN countries’ representatives. The ELN Council is to be established by the General Assembly as soon as the country representatives are elected by the ELN membership in each country. Not all countries will immediately elect ELN country representatives, as a threshold level of membership in each country needs to be attained so that a country can have representatives in the ELN Council.
